A new Borg version: comments and analytics

I have just deployed a new version of Borg. Borg is the software which is responsible for this whole site and it’s based on Ruby On Rails. Check this link for further info. The new features released include: user comments on pages and google analytics integration.

User Comments on Pages

Users and visitors can now leave their comments on every page of the site. You’re encouraged to leave yours! User comments sport the following features :

  • Captchas are used to prevent spam. Two versions of captchas exist: plain or graphic ( backed by Rmagick )
  • Gravatar integration : user comments show their gravatars if present.

Comments are stored by Borg as plain files. Still no database required, very easy to manage them for administration tasks ( archive, deletion, move …)

Analytics Integration

An additional parameter has been added to the Borg configuration file, to allow for a seamless integration with Google Analytics . You have just to provide your Urchin id and nothing more.

Other info

You can now dowload Borg and try it on your site. Download here .
